1. Rutgers University Ernest P. Mario School of Pharmacy

We are proud of our long tradition and our 117 year history, and we are equally proud of our position today as one of the country’s preeminent schools of pharmacy. The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy is recognized nationally and internationally for its challenging and dynamic Doctor of Pharmacy program (PharmD), and for its distinguished graduate programs in Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry, and our joint Rutgers/UMDNJ graduate program in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Working closely with supportive faculty and staff, students at the School build professional skills and a foundation for learning that continues long after graduation.

The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy offers:

The program includes diverse opportunities and experience in clinical practice, industry, public health agencies, managed care, and research.
  • Outstanding research in the pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Multidisciplinary graduate and post-doctoral training programs in the basic pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, pharmacoeconomics, and emerging fields, in collaboration with colleagues across the University and UMDNJ.
  • Diverse and comprehensive postgraduate clinical residency and fellowship programs in pharmacy practice, the pharmaceutical industry, and pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research.

2. New Jersey Pharmacists Association

The New Jersey Pharmacists Association is the oldest, continuously operating pharmacy association in the nation. Since 1870, NJPhA has served the professional needs of pharmacists and the people of New Jersey with public health initiatives. NJPhA represents all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

NJPhA represents all segments of the pharmacy profession.  Our members are practicing in independent, chain, hospital, government, academic, consultant, managed care, pharmaceutical industry and compounding centers.  Our board based membership helps us to understand the needs of all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to offer programs and services for all segments of the pharmacy profession.

Whether it is a critical issue before the state legislature, new technology for pharmacy, or a recent development that will affect your work, NJPhA is there education, advocating, and seving.

3. NJ Academy of Consultant Pharmacists

The purpose of this Academy shall be to advance the discipline and practice of the profession of pharmacy consulting for the benefit of its members and the patients they service.  Our commitment is to provide membership with resources to ensure clinical competency and regulatory awareness through the development and dissemination of professional knowledge.

The Academy shall foster a system of continuing pharmaceutical education.  It shall foster high ethical standards of professional conduct and practice.

NJACP is an academy of NJPhA and requires membership in NJPhA to participate

4. Health Care Association of New Jersey

The Health Care Association of New Jersey (HCANJ) is a non-profit trade association representing long term care providers who believe that the individuals they serve are entitled to a supportive environment in which professional and compassionate care is delivered. This belief compels HCANJ and its members to advocate for individuals who, because of social needs, disability, trauma, or illness, require services provided in a long term care setting, while also advocating for the long term care provider community.

6. New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists

For over 60 years, The New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists has been dedicated to the highest standards in institutional pharmaceutical service. NJSHP is a leader in providing pharmacy education in order to help members keep abreast of changes in medication therapy, to help members improve their pharmacy services and enhance their careers.

As the nature of our profession continues to evolve, NJSHP helps you and your organization to better understand the changes that are occurring in the health care field and how to manage these changes. Our members are pharmacists and technicians who practice in hospitals, managed care organizations, home care, long-term care programs, and pharmacy students. 7. Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

The Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences is one of only two degree-granting pharmacy schools in New Jersey, and is the first in the state to be associated with a private university.

The School’s dynamic program of study integrates the very best practices in pharmacy education today. Students will:
