Thinking of Becoming a CCP this Year?

The next sitting of the CCP exam will be in October 2025.

 The Joint Board will be giving the CCP exam on October 10th at Capital Health at the Hopewell/Pennington hospital location. If you are interested, an application can be found at the link below.

For those not actively practicing, you will be able to take the at home test at that time. It will be 40 multi-choice questions with a passing score or 75% Per Board Bylaws. Please leave yourself time to complete it.

If you restart it, your answers may or may not be saved, and you will have to start again.

Be sure the Joint Board has your CURRENT and CORRECT Email otherwise you may miss important information!

The Joint Board for Certification of Consultant Pharmacists (CCP) was formed in 1982 to create an educational process that would certify consultant pharmacists as specialists in the long-term care field.

   Since 1982, consulting pharmacy has grown to include such diverse areas as correctional facilities, ambulatory surgical centers, end stage renal disease dialysis centers, residential and outpatient substance abuse facilities, adult and pediatric day health services, assisted living, residential health care facilities, hospice and hospitals.

  " The future for CCP's looks bright".  Due to the aging of our population and the rise of many outpatient health care facilities and systems, this certified health care professional is in great demand and highly utilized.  While various Federal and State regulations require a consultant pharmacist, hiring a CCP assures a facility that a knowledgeable professional is preforming the appropriate services for residents and patients. A CCP allows certain facilities to meet "Advisory Standards".
