Registration is now open for the NJPhA Academy of Consultant Pharmacists Course to help you prepare to sit for the CCP exam. The link is below:

CCP Course February 2026-Registration

The home study should be available on registration and must be completed BEFORE the live portion of the course which will take place on Wednesday, February 25th at FDU School of Pharmacy.

Preparing for a Consultant Pharmacist Career- A multicomponent 16 Credit ACPE approved course including: a home study and live full-day program on February 25, 2026, at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy

This is a course that requires the purchase of Consultant Pharmacist Handbook: A Guide for Consulting to Nursing Facilities, 5th Edition and includes home study and completion of quizzes prior to a full day of in-person class. It can be used to help to prepare candidates to sit for the Joint Board exam and earn the CCP credential OR provide a review of long-term care principles and updated regulations used by certified consultants.  Participants will earn 16 ACPE credits. 

The Joint Board will be giving the CCP exam on March 6th at Pharmacy School at FDU in Florham Park. The address is 230 Park Ave, Florham Park, NJ 07932.. If you are interested in earning the CCP credential, an application can be found at the link below.

Attention CCPs–

Invitations to renew electronically were sent to all eligible CCPs at the email address associated with their certification-ON APRIL 1^st, 2025.  These renewal links became inactive on April 30^th. CCPs who had not yet renewed were sent a late renewal link   If the invitation did not reach you, or you are unable to locate your certificate number and initial certification year, you may reach out to csilvestri.jbccp@gmail.com  for assistance.

Reminder that all CCPs are required to earn at least CE 40 credits over the 2-year renewal period. The extra 10 credits should be in subjects of interest to long-term care practice and may be either clinical or regulatory in nature.

Renewal News: CCPs who did not renew prior to the April 30^th, 2025 expiration may still renew. Email csilvestri.jbccp@gmail.com for an active late renewal link.

For those not actively practicing, you will be able to take the at home test at that time. It will be a 40 question multi-choice, with a passing score of 75%. Please leave yourself time to complete it. If you restart it, your answers may or may not be saved, and you will have to start again.
